Who We Are
The Bioinformatics for Ukraine initiative supports Ukrainian researchers impacted by the ongoing war, providing essential resources, guidance, and new opportunities to continue their invaluable work despite challenging circumstances.
Since the start of the war, Bioinformatics for Ukraine has been dedicated to supporting Ukrainian students and researchers, helping young scientists enter the field and grow their careers. We provide educational opportunities, professional development, and a strong scientific network to ensure continuous learning and innovation despite challenging circumstances.
We achieve our goals by focusing on these priorities:
▪️ Education & Training: We have successfully organized 15+ bioinformatics and data science courses, summer and winter schools, and hands-on workshops, giving researchers practical skills in analyzing biological data.
▪️ Research Support: Our initiative has contributed to 10+ research publications, fostering collaboration between Ukrainian and international scientists.
▪️ Community Building: With over 100 active students and 20+ professors and educators, we are creating a thriving bioinformatics ecosystem in Ukraine.
